Stuff You Probably Want To Know

Q: I have an allergy/strong dislike/personal reasons for not eating pork (or fish, etc). Can you substitute something else for me?
A: We would love to be all things to all people, but unfortunately, we have many people to cook for and several dishes each day to complete. We try to keep the menus interesting with a wide range of ingredients and cooking styles and we hope that you will be happy with the meals we present to you.

Q: I will be out of town for a couple of days next week. Can I only purchase meals for half the week?
A: We are sorry, but in order to keep things streamlined, we need to stick with our two meal plans, the five-day service, which includes all three daily meals for Monday-Friday and our three-day service, which includes one delivery on Tuesday with all meals through Friday lunch. Instead, why not offer your unused meals to your house-sitter, a sick friend or a new mom? It will make you unbelievably popular and very much appreciated!!!

Q: How often does your menu change?
A: We have a 6-week rotation of our menus but we revise them in the summer to take advantage of all the fresh produce available and then again in the fall to provide heartier fare for the cooler weather. And it’s not unusual for a new dish to pop up on a specific holiday, such as jambalaya on Mardi Gras or a multi-dish menu for Thanksgiving.

Q: Do you do all the shopping, cooking and deliveries yourself?
A: Heavens no! I did that for about three crazy months but this service has proven to be so popular that I’ve been lucky enough to bring on some very capable accomplices: Diane Cappleman and Cheryl Robinson are fabulous cooks and motivators, Stacy Hamling is our prep chef and Brian Benhart is our most valuable and dependable delivery dude. I could never do this without them!

Q: Do you cook out of your home?
A: Actually, it’s a health code violation to provide a business such as this from home. We cook out of a commercial kitchen that adheres to the requirements set forth by the Kane County Health Department.
